Soichiro Honda (1906-1992) - Motor Cycle and Car Manufacturer President Honda Corporation

He was born Nov. 17, 1906, Shizuoka prefecture, Japan, and died Aug. 5, 1991, Tokyo. He started as a mechanical engineer and founded the Honda Motor Company, Ltd. in 1948. He received more than 100 patents and pioneered new engine designs which rocketed Honda to the largest motorcycle manufacturer in the world by 1959. By the 1980s his formula for success established Honda as a leader in the automobile industry.
